Designed by Richard Sapper for Artemide, the Tizio lamp is an adjustable task light with a sleek, modern form. The base acts as a counter-balance for arms and head, which can be extended upwards or outwards to cast directional light in any direction.

Description
Launched in 1972, the Tizio light was immediately hailed as a masterpiece in engineering, thanks to a framework which eliminated the need for wires connecting the base to the head.

The minimal form and dynamic functionality of the Tizio has underlies its timeless appeal, and it is included in the Permanent Design Collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
