Following the success of Sons of Beasley at the London Design Festival 2023, Carl Clerkin & Alex Hellum are pleased to introduce a new range of furniture alongside their signature chairs for LDF 2024. The collection includes this tray as well as tables, benches, mirrors and many more which will be made live at the SCP showroom in Shoreditch from 14th - 22nd September.
Fundamental to Sons of Beasley is a commitment to sustainability and a passion for environmental consciousness. By harnessing their collective expertise and creativity, Carl and Alex aim to challenge the norms of mass production and the associated energy and waste it generates.
The heart of Sons of Beasley lies in its low-impact manufacturing process, promoting frugality and resourcefulness. The duo employs simple and honest joinery methods, resulting in furniture designs that are not only environmentally responsible but also visually striking. Their designs incorporate random colours sourced from sheet material offcuts, giving new life to discarded materials and transforming them into unique, functional furniture pieces.
