Designed in 1955 by Barba Corsini, the PD2 Floor Lamp reflects the vaulted ceilings and chimneys of La Pedrera, one of Barcelona's most prominent Gaudí landmarks.

Description
In 1955, Corsini was assigned to remodel the attics of the famous La Pedrera. What was previously a laundry room and storage area was transformed into 13 modern apartments. To complete the experience, Corsini decorated the dwellings with his own designs, inspired by the characteristic architecture of the building.

When the original Gaudí interior was restored in 1991 and Corsini’s was removed, architect Joaquim Ruiz Millet sought to bring Corsini’s considered design language a modern audience. He started to recreate original designs, such as the PD2, that might otherwise have been lost.
The PD2 Floor Lamp has a powerful yet calm presence, and is well suited for contemporary homes.
