Eames Desk Unit EDU

Charles & Ray Eames | Vitra

Designed by mid-century design icons Charles and Ray Eames, the Eames Desk Unit (EDU) blends industrial aesthetic with artistic flair. The black structural frame is fitted with colourful panels that provide storage, while a height-adjustable system allows the desk to remain level on any floor surface.

Product Information
Description
The EDU desk forms part of a 1949 furniture collection developed by the Eames' to best utilise the production processes of the era. Much like their own residential project, the Eames House, the EDU and ESU feature an eye-catching combination of coloured panels, cross-bracing and straight black lines.

For this 21st century edition from Vitra, the Eames Office partnered with Dutch designer Hella Jongerius to define a new colour scheme. The contemporary desk is uplifting and purposeful and features a plywood top, two storage compartments and modesty panels. It is an ideal focal point for any creative workspace or home office.
