Robert Dudley Best | GUBI

Designed by Greta M. Grossman in the 1950's, the Cobra Wall Lamp takes its name from the snake’s hood which is coyly resembled by its oval shade.

Product Information
Description
Cobra is an extremely functional wall light, with a moveable shade that can be tilted 90 degrees, and rotated 360 degrees. It emits a soft light which is ideal for illuminating entrances and hallways. It is operated by a switch on the back plate.

Swedish born Grossman was greatly influenced by European modernism and the Bauhaus movement, developing a design language which would underpin mid-century Californian Modernism. Her signature aesthetic is reflected by the lamp's simple, soft-edged form – at once paired back yet striking.
