Banner reimagines the ribbons depicted in classic 1930s and 40s military tattoos. This fabric form replicated in a stainless steel sconce captures a tension between the masculine and the feminine. Banner is offered in stainless steel or solid brass and can be powder-coated.

Description

Blue Green Works is a Manhattan-based design studio founded in 2020 which carefully combines hand-formed materials with precision metalwork. The studio focuses on making design objects with a purity that allows the pieces to stand alone and converse with the spaces in which they live. Informed by film, architecture, street culture and New York City, Blue Green strives to create great work that makes sense in the world.

Care Instructions

All of the metals have live finishes and will naturally patina over time. Always use gloves when handling the fixtures.

Brass
Cleaning: To clean oxidation marks, put a small drop of Brasso on a microfiber cloth and make small slow circular motions around the affected area.
Maintaining: Our brass is coated with wax to slow the
oxidation process. To maintain the barrier over time, we recommend occasionally reapplying Trewax or Renaissance Wax.

Steel
Cleaning: To clean oxidation marks, put white distilled vinegar on a microfiber cloth and make small circular motions around the affected area.
